My Bike Touring Trips
I've spent a few years cycling various long distance bike tours around the world. For the most part, I have kept daily blog posts, which I share at Dave's Travel Pages.

Some of the earlier bike tours are quite rough when it comes to the writing. Some are more detailed, including routes, bike touring gear, and even daily vlog posts on YouTube as well.

Cycling from England to South AfricaIn 2006, I began an amazing trip cycling from England to Africa. This 10 month adventure took me through countries such as Syria, Sudan and Tanzania, as I cycled across Europe, the Middle East and then East Africa.
Cycling from Alaska to Argentina - The Panamerican HighwayBack in July 2009, I began cycling from Alaska to Argentina along the Panamerican Highway. This was a bicycle touring journey which would take me 18 months to complete, finishing in the February of 2011.
Cycling From Greece To England - Bicycle Touring 2016Cycling across Europe from Greece to England was a bike tour that I completed in 2016. It took two and a half months to pedal from Greece to England, passing through 11 countries along the way.
Cycling in Central Greece – Bike Touring in Epirus and ThessalyDuring September 2018, I took a bike touring route through central Greece. Over a month, I cycled this mountainous part of Greece visiting small villages dotted in between incredible natural wonders.
Cycling the Fens of East Anglia in the UKIn 2014, I spent a week cycling the Fens region of East Anglia. The trip had two purposes. Firstly, I haven't done much bicycle touring in England, and this week provided a chance to do just that. Secondly, it was the perfect chance to test out some new gear.

Thank you Dave for showing me some of the best routes in my country (Greece).
However you missed one of the best bits in missing out the Mani peninsula. As I am retiring in Mani this September I would be delighted to show you one of the best places in the world!

Hi Nick, I can't think of a better area in Greece to retire to. There's definitely something special about Mani! I regret not cycling there, as it has a fantastic feel to it. I did take a road trip there last year though. Didn't see it all, but got a good taste for it: Mani Road Trip If you haven't visited it yet, the Patrick Leigh Fermor House is worth seeing in Kardamyli.
