Today's cycling from Bruceport to Disappointment Bay was another relatively easy one. Nowhere to buy a new tent though yet!

Cycling from Bruceport

Blog post written September 2009 as part of my Alaska to Argentina bike tour.

Again easy riding today, which is both good and bad. Good that I am having it easy, but bad because I will get used to it, and then a hard day will be absolute murder!

At Ilwaco, I got onto the net and uploaded an update. I've been typing up my travel diaries in the tent (D-Ment - see previous journal entry about my temporary shelter until I find a new tent) at night, and then uploading them whenever I can find a half-decent connection.

I finished up in town by buying a pint of milk, and having a cheeky McDonald's.

At Disappointment Bay, I set up the D-Ment, trying a new variation on the same theme which involves incorporating my bicycle trailer in order to keep the end where my feet are raised slightly.

I got talking to couple from the UK who are cycling from Vancouver to San Diego . They said that they had heard it will be raining for the next few days.

It gets really cold now already when the sun goes down and the wind blows across the ocean, so I don't really want to think about rain being thrown into the mix as well !!

Hopefully I will be able to find a new tent to buy over the next couple of days as I cycle through some larger settlements. I pretty much have zero hope of an outdoor store right now, but even a cheap and cheerful tent will do!
