Cycling from Las Varas to Sayulita in Mexico - Bike Touring Travel Blog
Today's travel blog post covers my bike touring route between Las Varas and Sayulita in Mexico. Part of my Alaska to Argentina bicycle tour.
Leaving Las Varas, Mexico

Another overcast, but humid day, and I'd started to sweat a little after carrying my bike and trailer down two flights of stairs from the room.
From Las Varas, I rejoined a main highway, the 200, and traffic was noticeably busier. There were quite a few steep climbs throughout the day, which was hot and sweaty, but all in a days work!
Camping in Sayulita
I decided to stop the night in the coastal town of Sayulita, where I found a quite chilled out campground on the beach. The whole place was laid back and idyllic, and if not for the fact I had already taken a chunk of time off, I could easily have stayed there a few days/weeks !!
At night, I got chatting to an Australian couple who were taking on jobs delivering yachts - Nice work if you can get it !!

Thanks for capturing so much of your travels in your blog. I'm currently working my way through them in hopes to start planning the trip myself. My question here is, did you have to pay for this beach camping spot? Do you remember how much it was?

Hi Caleb - My pleasure, I hope you enjoy reading them! I have to say my writing style has changed a lot since then haha. Sorry, can't remember now if I paid or not. If I did it wouldn't have been more than a couple of bucks.
