Anafi is the southernmost Greek island in the Cyclades archipelago, and the closest island to it is Santorini. The capital town of Chora has about 280 inhabitants, but during summer time there are up to 3000 visitors on the island daily.

The Naxos Anafi ferry route is not a popular one, and as such, the availability of ferries varies from year to year.
Typically, this route only operates during the summer season months of June, July, August, and September. During this time, there may be 3 or 4 ferries per week which may include an overnight Blue Star Ferries crossing, and a morning SeaJets vessel.

If there are no direct ferries sailing between Naxos and Anafi on the dates you want to travel, you could try a little island hopping! One option is to got from Naxos to Santorini, and the Santorini to Anafi.
There are up to 6 ferries per day sailing from Naxos to Santorini, so the first leg of the journey is very easy to make. SeaJets, Golden Star Ferries, and Blue Star Ferries have all run services along this route in recent seasons, with the quickest ferries taking just over 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Once you've arrived in Santorini, you'd need to disembark, and then take another ferry over to Anafi. If you are lucky, you might find a connections within a couple of hours. If you're unlucky, you might have to stay the night in Santorini.
